How to Solve Harmonic Interference Problems in Frequency Converters

Due to the non-linear characteristics, frequency converters generate high-order harmonics on both the input and output sides, which not only interfere with the power grid and adjacent equipment but may also trigger harmonic amplification effects. The corresponding solutions are as follows:

Connecting a dedicated reactor in series to absorb harmonics while improving the power factor;

Installing an isolation transformer to cut off the harmonic conduction path at the source;

Standardizing wiring (using shielded cables and separating strong and weak currents) and implementing proper grounding to effectively suppress radiated interference;

Increasing the inductance on the input side to suppress harmonic amplification from a fundamental perspective;

Installing an active harmonic filter (AHF) to accurately cancel harmonics in real time.
